Below Deck S6 Episode #1417 January 2019
Ok, forgive me for being so late with my blog this week, but we had a viewing party last night at J M Lexus here in Florida and gave out a bunch of books, took a bunch of pictures. We all had a great time. But we will get right into it. This group was a handful to say the least. I really felt for the crew, it didn’t seem like we could get anything right. They were two hrs. late for dinner and couldn’t understand why courses didn’t come out as planned. Wanted to eat light and healthy, but then didn’t like it when that was what they got. Passed out on the commode, and a couple just passed out. Not paying attention to safety procedures, putting people at risk with that jet ski fiasco, the list is long with this group. I thought that, with all the crew had to deal with, they behaved admirably. So lets chat about the crew right now.
Laura, I’m glad to see you do a 180. You really turned things around. I hope you realize that it was you changing that prompted the change in the way you got treated this week. You deserve an atta girl. You worked your butt off and it was duly noted. Way to bring it around. You had a great week. I do see that you are not appreciative of Adriane’s sense of humor. Not sure that I care for it either, but perhaps you should say something earlier than later. It clearly makes you uncomfortable.
Rhylee, thanks for joining myself and Josiah last night it was a pleasure having you attend. Now, me thinks that you may be falling too hard and too fast for Tyler. Just a hunch, but I don’t feel that he and you are on the same page here. I hope not, but we will see. You had a good week as well, no flare-ups, no confrontations, hard work and a great attitude. So well done.
And speaking of Tyler, you had a good week work wise, and your love life seems to be going well, but I get the feeling that you don’t share the same feelings for Rhylee that she seems to be developing for you. I didn’t think your statement was that you flirt all day, have great sex, you make out with someone else and Rhylee doesn’t get mad, was one that you thought out very well before you said it. But lets see how it plays out. But I think that there may be some dark clouds on the horizon for you and her.
Ross, you had a good week as well. It was refreshing to see someone own the past mistakes, take responsibility and try to move forward and do better in the future. Good job. You gave the guests specific instructions on the proper way to operate the jet skis, which they totally ignored. Might be time for me to have a come to Jesus meeting with these guests.
Ashton, working hard, playing harder. I just want to know why you think that going out to party and then get so whacked you don’t know if you had a good time or not is fun. I don’t know it only seems to be a good time if you can remember having it. But that’s just me. I think you will catch on to that though. Keep doing the good job you are doing.
Josiah, I felt bad for the anxious moments that you had experienced this week. But like the consummate professional you are you dealt with it with class and you overcame it. Great job. That outfit you wore was over and above the line of duty. Way to take one for the team and bail out the situation.
Kate, well done this week. Your interior team seems to be running on all cylinders so kudos to you. Everyone seems to be getting on well and pulling together. I’m loving it. Thanks.
Adriane, you had a hard week, and you dealt with it well. Your food was outstanding and you behaved well under not so nice conditions where the guests kept moving the goal posts. You dealt with it, which is what I have come to expect from you. Keep doing what your doing in the galley, its working. Just on a side note, not sure that Laura is appreciating your sense of humor. Might want to think about that.
So, there you have it folks, my take on last Tuesdays episode. I thought this was the best week for all the crew this season. I just wish the guests had behaved a wee bit better, but you can’t have it all. So until next week, be safe out there and stop by Thecaptlee.com for a signed copy of my book Running Against The Tide and maybe a tee shirt with one of your favorite Leeisms on it. Keep the wind at your back, and calm seas beneath your keel.
